Removing, loading and hauling away a 4,000-ton press

Trade-Mark Industrial (TMI) recently managed the removal of a 4,000-ton press at an active manufacturing plant in Guelph—demonstrating our team’s ability to execute big, complex industrial projects safely and efficiently.

Tolerances Down to the Inch: When dismantling and removing the moving platen, we had to use two 100/140 Versa-Lifts to carry the platen as a tandem—maneuvering through a tight aisleway with only 6 inches of clearance.

Heavy Mechanical Work: Successfully separated the manifold body base from the injector and cut through seized lock nuts from the tie bars.

Zero Production Interruption: Rigging and equipment moves took place during a strict window between 2:00 AM and 5:00 AM over 5 night shifts and a weekend; parts were moved from inside the building to the storage space outside by the storage building. Ensuring the facility continued to operate during normal business hours.

All trades under the same roof: Once dismantled, TMI loaded and transported the equipment with our own heavy-haul fleet.
