All In Together - Construction Safety Week 2026
At Trade-Mark Group of Companies, safety is the measure of success. Construction Safety Week is an annual event we celebrate and recognize. This year, it is held during the week of May 4, 2026. Safety Week was started in 2014, when more than 40 national and global construction firms comprising the Construction Industry Safety Initiative (CISI) group and the Incident and Injury Free (IIF) CEO Forum joined forces with a single aim: to inspire everyone in the industry to be leaders in safety.
From Russ Straus - our Founder: “At Trade-Mark Industrial, safety is an integral part of our business foundation. It is fundamental to the care and respect we show to each other, to our customers and to our suppliers. We realize that safety is a shared responsibility that requires active participation, constant vigilance and continuous improvement by all.”
Safety begins with senior management at Trade-Mark, which cultivates a culture among the employees at all levels, ensuring a safe workplace on all Trade-Mark job-sites. Trade-Mark Industrial has achieved COR™ certification from the Infrastructure Health & Safety Association (IHSA) as recognized by the Canadian Federation of Construction Safety Associations (CFCSA) since 2016 and it is always safety first at Trade-Mark Industrial!
Construction Safety Week 2026 builds off the headline “All In Together” and is centered on three pillars: Recognize, Respond, and Respect to build a unified call to action on high energy, high hazard work to prevent serious injuries and fatalities.
- Recognize the presence and impact of High Energy / High Hazards / STCKY (Stuff That Can Kill You) Activities
- Respond to recognized hazards by putting in place direct controls during the planning phase is key to preventing SIFs (Serious Injuries and Fatalities) during construction
- Respect High Energy / High Hazards / STCKY activities by planning for and implementing the direct controls to prevent serious injuries and fatalities.
To support and recognize the Safety Week:
- Our management and coordinators are amping up our presence across active projects to ensure safety remains our top priority.
- Members of our senior leadership team, including Presidents and VPs, will be joining the Safety team for site visits and inspections.
- Teams will participate in daily safety talks pre-created by the Construction Safety Week organization to keep safety top-of-mind.
- To ensure our teams are equipped with the best protection, we are distributing high-quality safety gloves to all workers.
- To reinforce and remind our workers of how important safety week is we will have Safety Week banners and lawn signs displayed around our jobsites. We will also be handing out helmet stickers and an end of week pizza and pop lunch to celebrate our successes!
Our end goal is simple: each and every Trade-Mark person comes home safely each day.
